Big News! Your best free gift for Mothers Day!

Welcome to the NEW 925mum community!

This is my gift to all of us working mums who love our kids, our partners and our careers!
Yes, its ok to have it all….without the guilt! I have realised that yes, we can have it all, but we all need some help along the way and the biggest help we can give it helping each other!
Hats off to us working mums! Honestly, how many people with (sane minds) would take on a non paid (money) job with no training and a promise of huge rewards that you have to trust are there? Then you have huge expectations from all and sundry of mastery at this new job…all while being sleep deprived…get where I am going? Just when you have steadied the ship, then just add back in your paid job! Ladies, please don’t take fore granted how resilient we really are holding down 2 jobs in your lifetime…and then we go back for more!

The sisterhood rules….or it should! Women need to stick together and support each other more. We are not feminists and we do love our men. We have a wonderful opportunity to get the most out of life both personally and professionally, so why don’t we all help each other and make this happened!
Lets also shape the legacy for the next generation of working sisters, our offspring, by creating a footprint of unity! I look back at the changes that have happened for women over the past 70 years, which is really not that long ago, and we are so lucky! I can now work full time and have a fulfilling career while being a mum but my grandmother had to leave her job once she was engaged to be married as her duty was at home. I remember one day she said to me how lucky I was to be able to keep my job and have access to childcare.

We really can’t take this change for granted and the fact is that other strong women have enabled this for us and this is our chance, and responsibility to keep improving the opportunities for women and mums to have the freedom of choices in the future.
My name is Geraldine and I am a mum with two great kids, a wife and career mum. I know what it is to juggle a personal and professional life and I’m still learning every day.

I have a really diverse skill and knowledge base professionally I am very willing to share and help anyone with my life learning. Personally, then you add hubby and young children (and a cat and dog!) to the mix and you really have a learning experience every day!
I’m sure you can relate. I will share as much as I know….and don’t know yet… and would love to hear from you all so we can all learn and support each other as we build this community together!!
Dame Quentin Bryce has a great quote I wanted to share with you all,

‘For a long time now I’ve been saying to young women, “You can have it all, but not all at the same time”. How important it is to take very good care of yourself, of your mental and physical and spiritual wellbeing; it’s hard to do. It’s easier to be a workaholic than to have a truly balanced life’.
Sound simple I know, but we all get so busy these days and it is not always easy to achieve all the things we want to.
